Your child can attend one, two, three or four days of this four-day music immersion program full of activities for the creation of music for ages 9-12, in Sydney.

We suggest you enrol your child for all four days if possible, because the first two days we will be working towards a performance on the last day, which you are invited to!

Objective:

A four-day music immersion program full of activities for the creation of music.

Class Size: Minimum 6, maximum 21
Student to teacher ratio: 7-1

Collaborating with each other through guided activities, participants will create songs to perform on the last day.

  • Familiarisation and lessons with instruments: guitar, bass, keyboards, recorders, percussion and drums
  • Familiarisation with music forms, recognition of genres, recognition of patterns, contrasts and similarities, as templates for their own creations.

Children will learn conventions of music through listening, analysing, copying, creating, making up parts on instruments, experiencing the technique of organising sounds and parts to make a song.

Participants will experience the joy of expressing themselves in collaboration through their own stories, ideas and participation.

No experience necessary, students will draw from their personal life experiences.
